How Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association functions
The Thoroughbred Sport Horse Association has been formed to help create a Life After Racing for retired thoroughbred race horses.
Its main objective is to work with show organisers to create dedicated thoroughbred classes and to secure funding for prize money for those classes.
To compete in the Thoroughbred Classes organised by the TSHA – you will need to purchase a yearly competition licence for each horse. The fee for the licence is $55 per horse per year.
This licence and the information provided help us track the horses that are competing so that the data can be passed on to the Thoroughbred Industry. This data will go towards the statistics for rehoming and repurposing racehorses, and is a key reason for the industry sponsorship.
Global Entries Online are intrinsic in helping us obtain and process the data and information we need to be able to send back to the relevant Thoroughbred Industry bodies.
To be eligible, your thoroughbred must be registered with the Australian Thoroughbred Stud Book.
